Pulses
Pulses are the edible, dry seeds of plants belonging to the legume family. While they grow in pods like all Legumes, the term "pulse" is strictly limited to crops harvested exclusively for their dry grain. This differentiates them from other green legumes (like fresh green peas or green beans) and high-fat crops like soybeans and peanuts.
